Financial Aid information and Assistantship Applications
Partial Dean's Scholarships: Full-time graduate students are eligible to receive Dean's scholarship
awards to ease the cost of graduate education. The awards are competitive, and not all students are offered scholarships.
Assistantships: Ph.D. students are eligible to apply for assistantship
awards to ease the cost of graduate education. These are highly competitive. The tuition and stipend benefits for all assistantships may change yearly. Each
recipient receives a contract letter detailing the terms of the specific assignment.
Only those who have been accepted as regular full-time students in a graduate
program or those currently enrolled as full-time students are eligible for scholarships or assistantships.
Therefore, early application for admission and for an assistantship is encouraged.
Award recipients are usually selected and notified by June 30. Administrative departments
of the University employ graduate students in a variety of capacities - some
utilizing their expertise in counseling, teaching, or business. These departments
may include the Academic Assistance Center, Undergraduate Admissions, the Bursar's
Office, the English Language Center, the Financial Aid Office, the Provost's
Office, Disability Resource Center, the International Student Office, Student
Activities, and Residential Life.
